Just as there are five basic ballet positions, there are also five basic steps to making a Freed of London pointe shoe. Click each step below to see just what we’re made of.

Forming the Pleats
With the shoe still inside out, the Maker uses metal pincers to create the pleating at the shoe's toes.

Then, with a wax thread, the shoe is stitched together, joining the sole to the upper.
